Chris White is a senior councillor of Matzikama Municipality and chairs the Technical Services and Infrastructure portfolio. He is a successful businessman and architect with around 40 years of experience. Chris is actively involved in community work and safety and also serves on the management board of the Vredendal Old Age Home. He is involved in Disaster Management and several neighbourhood and farm watches and is committed to attracting new investment, creating jobs and addressing poverty.
I want to use my experience, technical knowledge and business expertise for the benefit of Matzikama and its residents. I believe in strong values, integrity and responsible governance. We must focus on improving safety and service delivery, attracting new investment and creating more employment opportunities. I want to continue being an active and accessible councillor who listens to residents, addresses problems and helps find practical solutions. I am passionate about unlocking Matzikama’s potential and helping to build a better future for its residents.
