Ben Makua is a long-standing resident of Mashishing with extensive experience in construction and mining. He has practical skills in bricklaying, concrete work, steel fixing, shuttering and scaffolding, and has served as a Team Leader and Section Leader. Ben has completed training in bricklaying, plant operations, fire fighting, fall arrest, occupational health and safety, and front-end loader operations. His practical experience and leadership skills give him insight into the challenges facing working communities.

I believe these values are equally important in serving a community. I want to listen to residents, understand their concerns and work towards practical solutions. My aim is to be a voice for the people of Mashishing and ensure their concerns are heard, while serving with honesty, respect and dedication.”
