Arné Venter was born in Zeerust and grew up in Groot Marico, where he still lives and farms. He was head boy at Laerskool Zeerust, performed strongly academically and played first-team rugby for Hoërskool Lichtenburg before matriculating in 2013. Farming is his great passion: he grows maize, beans, tobacco and wheat and understands agriculture’s importance to local employment and food security. Arné is a devoted spouse and proud father with strong family values. His love of nature, community and South Africa shapes his responsible, practical outlook on life.

A broken road, pump or power connection does not affect only one farm; it threatens production, jobs and food supply. Ramotshere Moiloa must record rural routes, bridges, boreholes and stormwater systems completely, prioritise them according to risk and report repairs . I want to help ensure that Groot Marico and surrounding areas’ agriculture, tourism and families can flourish through functional infrastructure and responsible administration.”
