Annemarie Roux is a serving councillor and energetic Rustenburg businesswoman, mother and practical community person who believes in rolling up one’s sleeves and making a plan. As a business owner, she understands the reality of dry taps, power interruptions, incorrect accounts and promises that are never implemented. She brings a direct, solution-oriented approach and values honest communication, responsible administration and service delivery that residents can trust. Annemarie wants to turn people’s daily frustrations into workable solutions, Her driving force is hope, order and a better Rustenburg for families and businesses.
“Rustenburg residents should not have to wonder every month whether their water account is based on an incorrect meter reading. I want to promote electronic and prepaid water meters, with readings that residents can verify themselves. This protects households against surprises, helps the municipality identify consumption and makes accountability possible. Together with local service zones and a fixed 24-hour repair target, it can resolve complaints faster. For me, good service is about simple, practical systems that work properly, treat people fairly and restore trust step by step.”
