POLICY

BACKGROUND

Twenty seven political parties participated in the Kempton Park negotiations which took place prior to 1994. The VF Plus was founded during this time under the leadership of Genl Constand Viljoen.ย 

Nineteen parties contested the national elections on 27 April 1994, of which only seven won seats in Parliament. VF Plus, only one month old, ended as the fourth largest party, after the ANC, NP and IFP.

The most significant occurrence during the course of the first political term was the writing of the new South African constitution. The VF Plus actively participated in the process and focused on the inclusion of self-determination and group rights. The VF Plus played a key role in the inclusion of the following sections in the new Constitution of the Republic of South Africa (Act 108 of 1996):

  • Sections 30 and 31 which provides for the collective rights of language and cultural communities;
  • Section 185 which provides for a Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religeous, and Language communities;
  • Section 235 which provides for the right of self-determinations.

  1. Defeat the ANC through coalition politics (VF Plus can govern together with other opposition parties in Gauteng);
  2. Stop policies and legislation which hamper job-creation;
  3. Stop racial discrimination;
  4. Stop affirmative action and Black Economic Empowerment which are based on race alone;
  5. Implement mother-tongue education;
  6. Implement the protection of minority rights and self-determination;
  7. Protect private property rights.

The VF Plus is your watchdog, fights for your rights and is a future governing partner for a better future without the ANC.

THE VF PLUS IS THE NATURAL HOME OF ALL WHOM:
  • believe in Christian values;
  • believe crime has to be actively tackled and corruption has to be eradicated;
  • strive for economic prosperity and progress;
  • are proud of their identity and strive for the protection of their culture, education and values;
  • believe that all 12 official languages in South Africa should be promoted equally.
DID YOU KNOW?
  • The VF Plus is the only party which voted against the new stricter Black Economic Empowerment Act (Parliament, June 2013).
  • The VF Plus says stop racial discrimination where the wealthy black elite is enriched further at the expense of poor South Africans.
  • The VF Plus is the only party which stands up against the ANCโ€™s propaganda lies about the history and land ownership in South Africa.
  • The VF Plus is the only party which demands that farm attacks be declared a priority crime.
  • The VF Plus is the only party which opposes legislation and policies which hampers job-creation.

MISSION

The VF Plus is irrevocably committed to the realisation of communities’, in particular the Afrikaner’s, internationally recognised right to self-determination, territorial or otherwise; the maintenance, protection and promotion of their rights and interests, as well as the promotion of the right of self-determination of any other community, bound by a common language and cultural heritage in South Africa.

SUCCESS

CAN THE FF PLUS ACHIEVE SUCCESS?

The FF Plus has achieved the following successes amongst others:

  • Transnet pensioners: The largest legal claim in South Africaโ€™s history is at present being instituted by an independent legal team on behalf of impoverished pensioners;
  • Negotiate exemption from property tax for person older than 70 years living in the Johannesburg Metro;
  • Wins the court case against the ANC government which allows South Africans living abroad to vote;
  • Stops the proposed implementation of the e-toll in Gauteng before Christmas 2012 and continues to fight the implementation of the e-tolls;
  • Wins the court case in which โ€œkill the boer, kill the farmerโ€ is declared to be hate speech;
  • Ensures in Parliament that white women and disabled people are also considered for empowerment and continues to oppose discrimination against white and brown men;
  • Through the leaderโ€™s position as deputy minister, the promulgated change of Pretoriaโ€™s name is withdrawn during February 2010 (Parliament, 17 February 2010).
