The FF Plus is convinced that all young people want to see South Africa growing for the benefit of all. However, discriminatory legislation and policy like Black Economic Empowerment (BEE), Affirmative Action (AA) and racial quotas are jeopardising a future with equal opportunities for all.
As long as these artificial practices continue at the expense of some, opportunities abroad will remain the only alternative for the young people of minority groups.
The President says that he wants to see balance in South Africa, but he does not realise that one cannot strike a balance by taking away and redistributing.
A true balance can only be achieved by offering something to those who do not have opportunities. The government's main focus should be on creating an economic environment where everyone has access to opportunities. If there are not enough opportunities for everyone, then new opportunities must be created.
At present, the ANC is simply forcibly tipping the scales to achieve artificial equality.
