The Hawks must launch an investigation into allegations of irregularities relating to nearly a billion rand in the personal bank account of Ms Kule Mahumapelo, spouse of Mr Supra Mahumapelo, the premier of the North West province. They must also investigate where the money comes from.
Recently, allegations on social media hinted at the fact that Ms Mahumapelo used certain business enterprises to launder money that was obtained by corrupt means.
The FF Plus requested the Hawks to take swift action to investigate the allegations and also, if need be, to get a court order to freeze Ms Mahumapelo’s assets while the investigation is ongoing.
