FF Plus rejects National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill in its entirety

Today during a vote in the parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Health, the FF Plus rejected the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill in its entirety.

Full-time members of the Committee, like the FF Plus, had to vote on the consideration and adoption of the Bill.

The FF Plus put it on the record that the party does not support the motion and rejects the Bill in its entirety.

A total of seven voters were in favour of the motion and four were against.

The Committee's work relating to the NHI Bill is not yet complete.

The FF Plus asked when Committee members will be given the opportunity to examine the 338 891 comments that were submitted in writing by stakeholders, and how many of these are in favour of and how many are opposed to the Bill.

The Committee chairperson undertook to address the issue in the next meeting.

The FF Plus also wanted to know whether the fire at Parliament earlier this year had any impact on the written comments.

In this regard, it was undertaken that a report on the matter will be submitted to the Committee shortly.

The FF Plus's fight against the Bill is far from over and the party will not rest until the Bill is abolished.
