The FF Plus learnt with deep regret of the passing of Dr Danny Titus.
Dr Titus passed away last night after he was in a coma for quite some time after complications with an eye operation on the 28th of July.
I got to know him as a pleasant, rational person who was able to handle himself well in difficult, emotional situations and who displayed much empathy and understanding for circumstances while still being able to take rational decisions amid difficult situations.
Dr Titus commanded respect and he was a great activist for Afrikaans. He was truly able to look past skin colour and proved that any person of colour can indeed reach the top in South Africa.
South Africa is poorer without Dr Titus and I would personally, and on behalf of the FF Plus, like to express my sincerest condolences to his next of kin. Our prayer is that the Lord will comfort them.
