The FF Plus is ready to fulfil its role as a reliable governing partner in the multiparty coalition government in the Tshwane Metro Council.
The party's councillor, Sakkie du Plooy, was once again appointed by the newly elected Mayor of the Metro, Randal Williams, as the Mayoral Committee Member for Health. Du Plooy served as a Member of the Mayoral Committee since 2016 until the council was unlawfully dissolved by the Gauteng Premier, David Makhura.
Two other FF Plus councillors, Awie Erasmus and former Colonel Piet Uys, will also resume their duties as the chairpersons of the Public Accounts Committee and Local and Geographical Place Names Committee, respectively.
Under administrative power, service delivery in the Tshwane Metro Council deteriorated significantly as administrative officials did very little to put taxpayers' interests first.
Councillors in the Metro Council can now resume their responsibilities to guide the capital city on the road to recovery and prioritise service delivery.
