{"id":91439,"date":"2026-10-06T13:22:06","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T11:22:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/?p=91439"},"modified":"2026-10-06T13:22:33","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T11:22:33","slug":"vf-plus-diep-besorg-oor-haglike-omstandighede-by-spesiale-skole-in-mpumalanga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/af\/mediaverklarings\/vf-plus-diep-besorg-oor-haglike-omstandighede-by-spesiale-skole-in-mpumalanga\/","title":{"rendered":"VF Plus diep besorg oor haglike omstandighede by spesiale skole in Mpumalanga"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die VF Plus is diep besorg oor die haglike omstandighede waarin leerders met spesiale behoeftes in Mpumalanga moet oorleef.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die portefeuljekomitee oor onderwys se fokus-intervensiestudie (FIS) oor spesiale skole, wat in Oktober 2026 in die wetgewer ter tafel gel\u00ea is, l\u00ea \u2019n ontstellende prentjie bloot van stelselmatige verval en verwaarlosing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die verslag is gegrond op onaangekondigde en amptelike oorsigbesoeke by ses van die 18 spesiale skole in Mpumalanga. Dit toon duidelik dat hierdie kwesbare kinders, ondanks die regering se praatjies oor \u201cinklusiewe onderwys\u201d, grootliks deur die staat vergeet word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die komitee het onder meer die volgende sistemiese probleme blootgel\u00ea:<br>\u2022 \u2019n Kritieke tekort aan gekwalifiseerde spesiale onderwysers en terapeute, veral spraak- en arbeidsterapeute (Saso-terapeute) en verpleegsters<br>\u2022 Vervalle infrastruktuur, gebrekkige sanitasie en ernstige veiligheidsrisiko\u2019s<br>\u2022 \u2019n Algehele ineenstorting van gespesialiseerde leerdervervoer vir gestremde leerders in die platteland<br>\u2022 \u2019n Gebrek aan aangepaste leermateriaal en kurrikulums<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Konkrete voorbeelde uit die verslag is skokkend:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Basizeni Spesiale Skool is daar 268 leerders, maar geen staatsondersteunde vervoer nie. Die skool is sonder elektrisiteit, maar word maandeliks R80 000\u2013R90 000 daarvoor gefaktureer. Daar is \u2019n tekort van 11 Saso-terapeute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Kamagugu Inklusiewe Skool is daar 335 leerders, maar slegs 12 van die 25 benodigde Saso-terapeute is aangestel. Dowe leerders het n\u00e1 Graad 4 n\u00earens om heen te gaan nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Mantjedi Spesiale Skool het slegs vyf van die 12 onderwysers \u2019n kwalifikasie in spesiale onderwys. Slegs ses van die tien toilette werk en daar is net \u00e9\u00e9n stoof vir al die leerders. Negentien leerders word van vervoer uitgesluit, sommige woon 100 km ver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Ethokomala Spesiale Skool (\u2019n jeugsorgsentrum) is daar slegs \u00e9\u00e9n verpleegster vir inwonende seuns, geen 24-uur mediese bystand, geen veiligheidskameras en ernstige tekorte aan werkbare rekenaars en beskermende klere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hierdie kinders is nie net statistieke nie. Hulle is iemand se kinders met drome en potensiaal. Hulle verdien \u2019n veilige, menswaardige leeromgewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die VF Plus eis dat die LUR vir onderwys, Lindi Masina, dringend moet ingryp. Sy moet \u2019n duidelike aksieplan vir die herstel van infrastruktuur voorl\u00ea, vakante spesialisposte onmiddellik vul en veilige, geskikte vervoer vir alle spesiale leerders verseker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die party sal hierdie saak in die wetgewer opvolg totdat daar tasbare verbetering is.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die VF Plus is diep besorg oor die haglike omstandighede waarin leerders met spesiale behoeftes in Mpumalanga moet oorleef.
