Met daardie geleentheid het veral die Naspers-koerante onder leiding van Beeld se destydse redakteur, Adriaan Basson, die aanslag gelei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die direkteur-generaal van ho\u00ebr onderwys, Gwebs Qonde, het destyds aangedring dat die Noordwes Universiteit moet optree, pleks van verduidelik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trouens, uit die verslag het dit geblyk dat die saluut, wat studente geensins met Nasionaal-Sosialisme verbind het nie, be\u00ebindig is reeds voor die berigte daaroor verskyn het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit was nadat die destydse kampusrektor, prof. Herman van Schalkwyk, op die sensitiwiteit daarvan gewys het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Indien die geskiedenis in ag geneem word, rus &#8216;n dure las op die NWU om self teen gister se EFF-optog standpunt in te neem.
