Die doel van behoeftige ondersteuning is om mense te help wat werklik finansieel swaarkry &#8211; nie di\u00e9 wat talle eiendomme besit nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alhoewel die VF Plus ten gunste is van ondersteuning aan die mees kwesbares, is dit totaal onredelik om te beweer dat iemand met meer as een geregistreerde eiendom dieselfde hulp benodig as byvoorbeeld \u2019n pensioentrekker wat sukkel om vir basiese lewensmiddele te betaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daarbenewens is dit onduidelik in die goedgekeurde begroting of die waardes van die verskillende eiendomme gesamentlik of afsonderlik in ag geneem sal word wanneer bepaal word of iemand kwalifiseer as \u2019n behoeftige.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die beleidsraamwerk bepaal nou dat die eiendomswaarde minder as R600 000.00 moet wees vir \u2019n veronderstelde behoeftige, en tussen R600 000.00 en R1 500 000.00 vir \u2019n geregistreerde behoeftige.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die gebrek aan duidelikheid skep verwarring en open die deur vir onbillike en inkonsekwente toepassing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die wysiging maak die deur oop vir misbruik, ondermyn die geloofwaardigheid van die behoeftige-ondersteuningstelsel en stel die beskikbare hulpbronne van die munisipaliteit in gevaar wat tot nadeel is van di\u00e9 wat dit werklik nodig het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit laat ernstige vrae ontstaan oor die munisipaliteit se fiskale bestuur en die prioritisering van openbare fondse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daar moet duidelike, regverdige en rasionele kriteria wees wat misbruik voorkom, sonder om diegene wat werklik hulp benodig, uit te sluit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die VF Plus bly daartoe verbind om belastingbetalers en kwesbare inwoners se belange te beskerm, en sal nie toelaat dat populistiese besluite die publiek se vertroue of verantwoordelike bestuur ondermyn nie. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die VF Plus het Donderdag beswaar aangeteken teen \u0149 raadsbesluit wat dit nou moontlik maak vir persone wat meer as een eiendom besit, om aansoek te doen om as behoeftige geklassifiseer te word.
