{"id":80015,"date":"2025-04-25T10:20:28","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T08:20:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/?p=80015"},"modified":"2025-04-25T10:20:31","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T08:20:31","slug":"vf-plus-in-lekwa-eis-onmiddellike-oudit-en-regstelling-van-munisipale-rekeningstelsel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/af\/mediaverklarings\/vf-plus-in-lekwa-eis-onmiddellike-oudit-en-regstelling-van-munisipale-rekeningstelsel\/","title":{"rendered":"VF Plus in Lekwa eis onmiddellike oudit en regstelling van munisipale rekeningstelsel"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die voortdurende wanfunksionering en wanbestuur van die Lekwa-plaaslike munisipaliteit (Standerton, Morgenzon) se rekeningstelsel, veral met betrekking tot water- en elektrisiteitsverbruik, is kommerwekkend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ten spyte van herhaalde klagtes van inwoners en halfhartige pogings van die munisipale bestuur om dit te reg te stel, maak die stelsel steeds staat op beraamde verbruiksyfers eerder as werklike&nbsp; meterlesings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terwyl die munisipaliteit inwoners aangemoedig het om hul eie meterlesings in 2024 in te dien, het die VF Plus verskeie klagtes ontvang vanaf inwoners dat hierdie lesings \u00f3f ge\u00efgnoreer \u00f3f verkeerd aangeteken word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gevolglik staar inwoners onregverdige ho\u00eb heffings in die gesig wanneer regstellings gemaak word, dikwels teen ho\u00eb tariewe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sommige inwoners ontvang steeds finale kennisgewings en dreigemente van diens-ontkoppeling vir uitstaande rekeninge wat steeds die koste van vorige eiendomseienaars weerspie\u00ebl. Dit skep nie net onnodige kommer nie, maar dra ook by tot &#8216;n onrealistiese projeksie van munisipale inkomste, terwyl dit &#8216;n buitensporige finansi\u00eble las op eerlike, betalende inwoners plaas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die VF Plus versoek daarom &#8216;n onmiddellike en deeglike oudit van die hele munisipale rekeningstelsel. \u2019n Voorstel vir so \u2019n oudit is reeds deur die party ter tafel gel\u00ea en goedgekeur. Die munisipaliteit moet nou die beslissende stappe hieroor neem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inwoners verdien &#8216;n deursigtige, betroubare en regverdige faktureringstelsel &#8211; een wat hul vertroue handhaaf en hul finansi\u00eble bydraes respekteer.
