Dit is tewens \u2013 nieteenstaande goeie bedoelings wat vroueregte aanbetref \u2013 steeds \u2018n geval van een tree vorentoe en twee tre\u0451 terug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ware geslagsgelykheid beteken gelyke geleenthede, nie gelyke uitkomste nie. Dit beteken ware bemagtiging deur behoorlike dienslewering, goeie en behoorlike gesondheidsorg, onderwys, beskerming en bemagtiging deur werkskepping en ekonomiese groei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit is tans nie die geval in Suid-Afrika nie en dit was die afgelope dertig jaar nie so nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018n Ontleding van die W\u00eareld Ekonomiese Forum oor die geslagsloongaping het Suid-Afrika in 2023 20ste uit 146 lande geplaas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit is \u2018n matige verbetering, maar die navorsing wys steeds dat \u2018n vrou in Suid-Afrika vir dieselfde werk gemiddeld net R72 verdien vir elke R100 van \u2018n man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dit ondermyn maatskaplike en ekonomiese groei. Boonop werk vroue as prim\u00eare gesinsversorgers ook gemiddeld minder ure as mans om in die meeste gevalle na kinders en huishoudings om te sien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2018n Bykomende las op Suid-Afrikaanse vroue van alle rasse tale en kulture is om uit te styg bo die skandelike dienslewering op munisipale vlak wat s\u00f3 swak is dat dit aan misdadigheid grens. In di\u00e9 omgewing moet hulle werk, woeker en na gesinne omsien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Swak gesondheidsorg, swak onderwys en geslagsgegronde geweld is bykomende klippe aan die nekke van vroue, maar hulle swem ten spyte daarvan. Hoeveel beter sou hulle nie gevaar het daarsonder nie?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daar kan nie in Suid-Afrika gepraat word van \u2018n suksesvolle opmars na geslagsgelykheid voordat al hierdie uitdagings nie aangespreek word nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die strewe daarna moet holisties en opreg wees in \u2018n omgewing waar kwotas gesien moet word as \u2018n klap in die gesig van alle verdienstelike vroue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regeringsmislukkings wat die speelveld vir vroue selfs meer ongelyk maak, kan nie langer kunsmatig met teikens en kwotas reggetrek word nie.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Parlementsdebat: Internasionale Vrouedag) Die historiese agterstand van vroue in die Suid-Afrikaanse samelewing is nog lank nie uitgewis nie.
