{"id":76855,"date":"2024-09-12T14:17:26","date_gmt":"2024-09-12T12:17:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/?p=76855"},"modified":"2024-09-12T14:17:31","modified_gmt":"2024-09-12T12:17:31","slug":"eskom-le-beslag-op-emfuleni-se-bankrekeninge-oor-skuld","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/af\/jongste-nuus\/eskom-le-beslag-op-emfuleni-se-bankrekeninge-oor-skuld\/","title":{"rendered":"Eskom l\u00ea beslag op Emfuleni se bankrekeninge oor skuld"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Emfuleni-plaaslike munisipaliteit (Evaton, Sebokeng, Vaal Oewer, Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging) wat berug is vir sy wanfunksionaliteit, het \u0149 nuwe laagtepunt bereik toe Eskom vandeesweek op sy vier bankrekening beslag gel\u00ea het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die optrede was vir uitstaande historiese skuld van R8 miljard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Di\u00e9 stap volg op Emfuleni se versuim om sy skuldverligtingsooreenkoms wat die nasionale tesourie (NT) met Eskom goedgekeur het, na te kom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die bedrag van R8 miljard is sowat 10% van die R82 miljard wat die munisipaliteit sedert 2018 aan Eskom skuld.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die munisipaliteit was ook oor jare in vele hofgedinge met Eskom gewikkel wat nie net gelei het tot die ophoping van sy skuld aan Eskom nie, maar wat ook groot regsonkostes tot gevolg gehad het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Grootmaat diensverskaffers se beslaglegging op Emfuleni se bankrekeninge vind reeds vir jare plaas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So het Randwater al verskeie keer beslag gel\u00ea op die munisipaliteit se bankrekeninge en roerende bates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Gauteng-regering het Emfuleni vanaf Mei 2018 tot September 2023 onder gedeeltelike administrasie geplaas, maar dit het nie hond haaraf gemaak nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die VF Plus het die burgemeesterskomiteelid vir finansies, mnr.
