Emfuleni is ses maande gegun om aan die hofuitspraak te voldoen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die hof het verder bevind dat Emfuleni sedert 2018 minagtend teenoor hofbevele optree omdat hy nie sy ooreenkomste met Eskom eerbiedig nie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emfuleni skuld Eskom R6,2 miljard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die VF Plus steun die hofbevel omdat dit vir sowat 200 grootmaakverbruikers en kleinhandelaars buiten vir beurtkrag van ononderbroke krag voorsien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weens Emfuleni se wanbetaling aan Eskom het die munisipaliteit ook gedwonge beurtkrag toegepas wat ondernemings vir lank periodes sonder krag gelaat het.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eskom sal die winsverskil aan die munisipaliteit terugbetaal om sodoende Emfuleni in staat te stel om makliker sy rekening aan Eskom te vereffen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Huiseienaars betaal steeds hul uitstaande kragrekening direk aan die munisipaliteit. Daar word egter beoog dat Eskom in die volgende twaalf maande volle bestuur van Emfuleni se kragrekeninge gaan oorneem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emfuleni sal steeds verantwoordelik wees vir die lees van kragmeters en die herstel van kraginfrastruktuur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die VF Plus is van mening dat di\u00e9 ooreenkoms Emfuleni in staat sal stel om suksesvol aansoek te doen by die nasionale tesourie vir skuldverligting wat beteken dat sy agterstallige kragskuld gedelg word indien die munisipaliteit getrou sy lopende skuld elke maand aan Eskom betaal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grootmaat-kragverbruikers in die Emfuleni-plaaslike munisipaliteit (Evaton, Sebokeng, Vaal Oewer, Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging) is sedert September meer verseker van ononderbroke kragvoorsiening omdat hulle hul kragskuld nou direk aan Eskom kan betaal.
