Die Ouditeur-Generaal se verslag het bevind dat die ANC onbevoeg is om Tlokwe en Ventersdorp te bestuur. Dit het na vore gekom met die finansiële komiteevergadering waar die Jaarverslag van beide Tlokwe en Ventersdorp hanteer is. Die Ouditeur-Generaal ondersoek die munisipaliteite se finansiële posisie jaarliks en gee redes vir sy bevindings in die Jaarverslag.<\/p>\n

“Die bestuur van die munisipaliteit, wat die burgemeester insluit, het volgens die verslag nie effektiewe beheermaatreëls geïmplementeer nie en sodoende ook nie wetgewing nagekom nie. Die resultaat is dat daar sowat R854 miljoen verkwis is deur onreëlmatige, ongemagtigde en vrugtelose besteding. Die feit dat sulke maatreëls nie in plek is nie wys dat die ANC nie ernstig is om korrupsie te beveg in die munisipaliteit nie, maar om dit eerder te bevorder,” sê Fanie Du Toit, VF Plus-raadslid in die Tlokwe\/Ventersdorp-munisipaliteit.<\/p>\n

“Die Ouditeur-Generaal het ook bevind dat daar onbevoegde amptenare werksaam is binne die munisipaliteit wat nie die nodige kennis het om werk effektief te verrig nie. Verder bevind die Ouditeur-Generaal ook dat geen amptenare verantwoordbaar gehou word vir hul aksies nie.<\/p>\n

“Die VF Plus is van mening dat die munisipale bestuurder volle verantwoordelikheid vir hierdie onreëlmatighede moet aanvaar en dit nie probeer afskuif op onskuldige amptenare wat wel hulle werk gedoen het nie. Daar moet daadwerklik opgetree word teen onbevoegde amptenare en hulle behoort vervang te word deur bevoegde amptenare, ongeag hulle ras, sodat behoorlike dienslewering kan plaasvind,” het Du Toit gesê.<\/p>\n
