Dit volg nadat die vergadering, waar &apos;n nuwe burgemeester verkies moes word, tot 31 Oktober vanjaar uitgestel is.<\/p>\n<p>Die werklikheid is dat Sol Plaatje-plaaslike munisipaliteit reeds vir maande &apos;n waarnemende speaker, waarnemende munisipale bestuurder en waarnemende finansi&#xEB;le hoof het &#8211; en vir die volgende maand geen burgemeester nie.<\/p>\n<p>Toepaslike wetgewing bepaal dat die munisipale raad die vakature vir burgemeester moet vul en ook &apos;n waarnemende persoon aanwys as die burgemeester tydelik buite bereik sal wees. Die VF Plus versoek in sy brief die drie amptenare om hul bevoegdheid te gebruik om te verseker dat dit wel gebeur.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;n Dringende vergadering is nodig sodat die ondersoek na wanadministrasie wat afgelope Vrydag afgehandel is, aan die raad voorgel&#xEA; kan word.<\/p>\n<p>Die vraag is watter rol die proses van lyssamestelling met die oog op volgende jaar se verkiesing hierdie saak be&#xEF;nvloed. Sou dit moontlik wees dat sekere persone bang is dat hulle reputasie deur die verslag benadeel sal word en daarom die bekendstelling frustreer? Die VF Plus hoop en vertrou dat dit nie die geval is nie.<\/p>\n<p>Dat die munisipaliteit wat na Sol Plaatje vernoem is s&#xF3; onderpresteer is inderdaad &apos;n belediging vir die persoon.
