Terwyl swak dienste en gebrekkige infrastruktuur die Vrystaat lamlê, het die provinsiale departemente in die vorige boekjaar (2021\/22) R506 miljoen onderbestee.<\/p>\n

Die Vrystaatse tesourie het Dinsdag tydens 'n vergadering van die openbare rekeningekomitee te kenne gegee dat dienslewering gekniehalter word weens die provinsiale departemente se onvermoë om begrotings effektief te bestee.<\/p>\n

Daar is onderbestee op infrastruktuurontwikkeling, -instandhouding en diensleweringsprojekte, maar R708 miljoen is oorbestee op die begroting vir salarisse.<\/p>\n

Belastingbetalers se geld word dus gemors op amptenare wat nie begrotings kan implementeer en dienste kan lewer nie.<\/p>\n

Die algehele onderbesteding deur die provinsiale regering wys dat die ANC nie 'n begroting kan bestuur nie al sou meer geld vir die provinsie toegeken word.<\/p>\n

Die probleme van die Vrystaat is nie weens 'n tekort aan fondse nie, maar kan eerder toegeskryf word aan wanbestuur en onbevoegdheid.<\/p>\n

Die VF Plus sal in die komende week eis dat die provinsiale departemente, waaronder die premier se kantoor, moet verduidelik waarom geld wat vir die mense van die Vrystaat bedoel is nie tot hul voordeel aangewend word nie.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
