Die DWS het in 2014 reeds die jaarlikse oudits van watergehalte (bloudruppel) en waterbestuur (groendruppel) by munisipaliteite gestaak.<\/p>\n<p>Die VF Plus het in &#x2018;n sitting van die parlement&#xEA;re komitees vir samewerkende regering en tradisionele sake en water en sanitasie daarop aangedring dat die oudits dringend heringestel word weens die toenemende besoedeling van die land se waterbronne.<\/p>\n<p>Die VF Plus het ook beklemtoon dat daar seker gemaak moet word dat waterverskaffingstelsels en rioolbestuur by munisipaliteite deur professionele en bekwame amptenare beheer moet word.<\/p>\n<p>Belangrike waterbronne soos die Vaalrivier is op groot skaal besoedel weens onder meer die onkundigheid van personeel in kernposte wat gelei het tot die verval van rioolaanlegte en waterinfrastruktuur.<\/p>\n<p>Die VF Plus moes ook al meermale ingryp en klagte indien by die departement se ondersoekeenhede, die Blou- en Groen Skerpioene, teen plaaslike ANC-beheerde munisipaliteite soos Matlosana (Klerksdorp, Stilfontein, Orkney en Hartbeesfontein) en distriksmunisipaliteite soos Ngaka Modiri Molema wat &#x2018;n groot gedeelte van Noordwes bedien.<\/p>\n<p>Die DWS behoort seker te maak dat bestaande ondersoeke geprioritiseer word en skuldige amptenare volledig aanspreeklik gehou word. Die voortslepende besoedeling van die land se waterbronne verteenwoordig sekerlik een van die grootste bedreigings vir die land se volhoubare voortbestaan, en die bestuur van hierdie bronne kan nie langer in die hande van onbekwame ANC-ontplooide kaders gelaat word nie.<\/p>\n<p>Kiesers moet in die komende verkiesings saam met die VF Plus opstaan en saamstaan om te verseker dat munisipaliteite gesuiwer word van onbekwame en onwillige amptenare wat sulke kritieke infrastruktuur siendero&#xEB; laat vergaan en sodoende die land se toekoms bedreig.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Die VF Plus verwelkom die aankondiging van die departement van water en sanitasie (DWS) dat die kwaliteit van munisipaliteite se waterbestuur weer geoudit gaan word en dat vervolgings ingestel gaan word teen amptenare in munisipaliteite wat verantwoordelik is vir die besoedeling van waterbronne.
