{"id":57438,"date":"2021-03-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/nuutste-nuus\/anc-erken-selektiewe-hulp-in-toerismebedryf-is-ter-wille-van-transformasie\/"},"modified":"2023-05-20T12:46:36","modified_gmt":"2023-05-20T10:46:36","slug":"anc-erken-selektiewe-hulp-in-toerismebedryf-is-ter-wille-van-transformasie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vfplus.org.za\/af\/mediaverklarings\/anc-erken-selektiewe-hulp-in-toerismebedryf-is-ter-wille-van-transformasie\/","title":{"rendered":"ANC erken selektiewe hulp in toerismebedryf is ter wille van transformasie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Die minister van toerisme, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane, het vandag in antwoord op &#8216;n parlement&#xEA;re vraag van die VF Plus erken wittes in toerismebedryf word misken ter wille van die transformasie van die bedryf.<\/p>\n<p>Dit is sonder inagneming van die aantal swart persone wat in diens van wit ondernemings staan wat tans sukkel om te oorleef en wat ook gaan ly indien die ondernemings hul deure moet sluit.<\/p>\n<p>Om staatshulp op grond van ras te weerhou in &#8216;n industrie wat in totaliteit belangrik is vir die groei van die land se ekonomie, veral post-Covid-19, is diskriminasie wat niks anders is nie as rassisme.<\/p>\n<p>Deur slegs daarop te fokus om swart entrepreneurs te steun of maatskappye met swart eienaarskap van 51%, word daar op individue gefokus en nie op die industrie of die ekonomie nie.<\/p>\n<p>Die ironie hiervan is dat die toerisme-industrie afhanklik is van toeriste van alle lande en dat hulle geld hier bestee word, ongeag hul ras.<\/p>\n<p>Volgens president Cyril Ramaphosa dra toerisme direk 2.9% by tot die bruto binnelandse produk (BBP) van Suid-Afrika en 8.6% op indirekte wyse. Die bedryf verskaf tans nog werk aan 1.5 miljoen mense. Dit kan vinnig afneem indien almal in die bedryf nie gehelp word nie.<\/p>\n<p>Die plig van &#8216;n regering is om &#x2018;n veilige en ekonomiese stimulerende omgewing te skep. Dit sal tot almal se voordeel wees, wit en swart.<\/p>\n<p>Die minister se erkenning dat die selektiewe hulp aan die industrie niks anders is nie as &#8216;n poging om die industrie te transformeer, kom ten koste van die land se bre&#xEB; ekonomie.<\/p>\n<p>Sonder ekonomiese groei word almal verarm.
