Die huidige LUR, Bentley Vass, se aandag is in Junie 2018 daarop gevestig, sonder enige optrede. Daarom het die VF Plus &apos;n klag in te dien.<\/p>\n<p>Bevindings wat in 2015 gemaak is, sluit in finansi&#xEB;le wanbestuur, korrupsie en wanadministrasie. Daar is onder meer bevind die optrede van beide die destydse burgemeester (mnr. Vuyisile Khen) asook die destydse munisipale bestuurder (mnr. Moeketsi Dichaba) kom neer op versuim om te voldoen aan statut&#xEA;re verantwoordelikhede en oorsig oor die munisipaliteit se finansies.<\/p>\n<p>Beide persone het in Januarie 2014 bedank, maar tot op datum is nie teen een van hulle opgetree nie. Dichaba is in 2017 (twee jaar nadat die verslag aan die LUR oorhandig is) as hoof van die Noord-Kaapse departement van vervoer aangestel.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Die Phokwane-plaaslike munisipaliteit verkeer voortdurend in &apos;n finansi&#xEB;le krisis. Wanbetalings aan Eskom wat sedert November 2017 aan die lig gekom het en tot die tydelike be&#xEB;indiging van kragvoorsiening gelei het, het tydens die artikel 106-ondersoek begin. Tydige optrede kon &apos;n krisis wat die omgewing sedertdien groot ekonomiese skade berokken het, afgeweer het,&quot; s&#xEA;&#xA0;Theo Joubert,&#xA0;VF Plus-voorsitter van Noord-Kaapse provinsiale regskomitee.<\/p>\n<p>Sedertdien het selfs die huidige burgemeester van Phokwane, K.M. Kalman, die LUR vir samewerkende regering gevra om in te gryp weens die ondraaglike skuldlas.<\/p>\n<p>Joubert s&#xEA; dit het egter tot dusver geen sigbare gevolge gehad nie.<\/p>\n<p>Die VF Plus versoek die volgende van die Openbare Beskermer:&#xA0;<\/p>\n<p>&quot;In die Noord-Kaap neem munisipale wanbestuur tans epidemiese afmetings aan. Indien diegene wat uitgewys word nie verantwoordelik gehou word nie, dui &apos;n artikel 106-verslag nie net op vermorsing nie, dit is op sigself &apos;n vermorsing van hulpbronne.
