Die VF Plus het tydens ‘n sitting van die parlementêre portefeuljekomitee oor gesondheid, die Life Esedimeni-tragedie wat in Gauteng plaasgevind het, teruggeplaas op die agenda van die betrokke komitee.<\/p>\n

"Die VF Plus het die komiteevoorsitter versoek dat die tragedie herbesoek word om te voorkom dat so iets weer plaasvind," sê Phillip van Staden, VF Plus-LP en hoofwoordvoerder van gesondheid.<\/p>\n

"Die komitee is ook versoek om aandag te gee aan die gebeure wat rondom die tragedie plaasgevind het en dat daar nou  die nodige stappe geneem moet word om op te tree teen diegene wat verantwoordelik was vir die gebeure. Die voorsitter het onderneem om die saak wel op die agenda te plaas vir bespreking. <\/p>\n

"Die gesondheidsombudsman het vandag voor die portefeuljekomitee verskyn om terugvoering oor die kwessie te gee en die komitee gaan op ‘n volgende beskikbare datum met die minister van gesondheid oor die aangeleentheid vergader.<\/p>\n

"Die VF Plus het reeds in die verlede gesê hy sal toesien dat die persone wat vir die tragedie verantwoordelik was, verantwoordbaar gehou word en die straf kry wat hulle verdien.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

"Die VF Plus verwelkom die optrede. Dit is die regte stap om seker te maak dat soortgelyke tragedies voorkom word en die party sal sy rol speel om toe te sien dat die komitee die regte besluite in dié verband neem."<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n
