“Vrystaatse inwoners verdien beter as ‘n premier van ‘n provinsie wat geïmpliseer word by ‘n omstrede projek, soos die Vrystaatse regering se Suiwelprojek,” sê Wouter Wessels, VF Plus-parlementslid.<\/p>\n

Wessels sê die VF Plus neem kennis van die Valke se beslaglegging op die kantoor van premier, Ace Magashule, en die departement landbou wat verband hou met die Vrede Suiwelprojek wat meer as R 570 miljoen rand gekos het.<\/p>\n

Minstens R 220 miljoen was volgens Regter Fouché Jordaan in die Vrystaatse Hooggeregshof “krimineel van aard.”<\/p>\n

“Die VF Plus het reeds geeis dat Vrystaatse departement van landbou indringend voor die openbare rekeningekomitee in die Vrystaatse Wetgewer moet verskyn om antwoorde oor onreëlmatighede in die projek te verduidelik.<\/p>\n

“Indien Magashule ‘n verantwoordelike premier was, sou hy ag geslaan het op etlike jare se kommer deur die VF Plus en ander dat die projek onreëlmatig is.<\/p>\n

“Magashule het egter aangehou om die projek te verdedig en die gevolg is dat honderde miljoene rand van belastingbetalers se geld weg is.<\/p>\n
