"Die premier van Gauteng, David Makhura, se uitlatings die week oor die e-tolstelsel in Gauteng is al holrug gery en kom neer op net leë beloftes," sê Phillip van Staden, VF Plus-LPW in Gauteng.<\/p>\n

Makhura het Donderdag in Germiston aan die media gesê e-tol is nie deel is van die toekoms in Gauteng nie en dat ‘n ander oplossing gevind moet word om die padnetwerk in stand te hou en uit te brei. Volgens Makhura het die ANC-konferensie in Gauteng ooreengekom om e-tol te skrap en dat hy die mandaat gegee is om die saak met president Cyril Ramaphosa en die nasionale regering op te neem om ‘n ooreenkoms te bespoedig.<\/p>\n

Die premier is besig met kat- en muisspeletjies. Die belastingbetaler van Gauteng het reeds deur hom gesien.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Makhura het sedert 2014 elke jaar in sy provinsiale rede tot vervelens toe dieselfde belofte oor e-tol gemaak.<\/p>\n

"Niks het gebeur nie. Die belastingbetaler van Gauteng is nou al siek en sat vir Makhura wat oor en oor, jaar in en jaar uit, dieselfde standpunt in die media inneem maar daarna sterf dit ‘n stille dood, " sê Van Staden.<\/p>\n

"Indien Makhura ernstig was oor die skrapping van die e-tolstelsel, sou hy as premier reeds sy rug teen die nasionale regering styf gemaak het en die stelsel laat vaar het. In stede daarvan het hy in 2014 ‘n paneel aangewys wat die stelsel ten duurste ondersoek het en alle rolspelers in Gauteng het voor die paneel verskyn.<\/p>\n

"Die VF Plus wil dit duidelik stel dat die premier besig is met kat- en muisspeletjies en dat die belastingbetaler van Gauteng reeds deur hom gesien het. Makhura moet ophou om aanhoudend dieselfde uitsprake te maak en verder niks aan die saak doen nie.<\/p>\n

"Die VF Plus herbevestig sy standpunt dat e-tol onwettig en nie werkbaar is nie en dat Makhura dadelik by SANRAL aandring dat geen verdere rekeninge of dagvaardigings aan motoriste uitgestuur word nie, "sê Van Staden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
