"Al spog die minister van hoër onderwys en opleiding, dr. Blade Nzimande, daarmee dat gratis naskoolse onderwys reeds 'n werklikheid is in Suid-Afrika, beskou die VF Plus dit nie as oordeelkundig nie," sê Wynand Boshoff, VF Plus-LP en hoofwoordvoerder van hoër onderwys.<\/p>\n

"Die minister het by 'n bekendstelling in Pretoria van die departement se gereedheid vir die 2020 akademiese jaar, bekend gemaak dat alle studente uit arm – en werkersklashuishoudings wat vir hul studierigtings kwalifiseer, se koste deur die staat gedra word. Dit geld nie alleen klasgelde nie, maar ook losies, vervoer en algemene uitgawes, soos toepaslik.<\/p>\n

"Terwyl die VF Plus die waarde van naskoolse onderwys besef, glo die party nie dat gratis naskoolse onderwys oordeelkundig is nie. Die VF Plus besef dit sal moeilik wees om die terugbetaling van studielenings van hierdie omvang af te dwing, maar glo nogtans nie dat iets wat gratis aangebied word, deur die ontvanger na waarde geskat word nie.<\/p>\n

"Daarom beskou die party verpligte internskappe as 'n gepaste manier om 'n teenprestasie van studente te verlang, maar ook as 'n geleentheid vir afgestudeerdes om ervaring op te bou en 'n loopbaan te begin.<\/p>\n

"Die VF Plus is ook bekommerd oor die omvang van finansiële hulp wat die staat op homself neem. Dit is tekenend van die land se ekonomiese verval dat die privaatsektor nie meer genoeg vertroue het om beurse en lenings vir verdienstelike studente beskikbaar te stel nie.<\/p>\n

"Dit is boonop 'n vraag of die staat die vermoë het om vraag en aanbod in die arbeidsmark so goed te bestuur as werkgewers en banke wat onderskeidelik beurse en lenings beskikbaar stel.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

"Ironies genoeg is dit reeds die staat se inmenging in die ekonomie deur die afdwing van transformasie wat sakevertroue verswak. Dit noodsaak die staat om skoolverlaters se studies te finansier, maar die middelklas word, tipies sosialisties, verswak."<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

"Hierdie groep verdien te veel om vir gratis onderwys te kwalifiseer, vind dit moeilik om studielenings van banke te verkry en verdien te min om dit uit hul eie sakke te betaal. Dit beteken dat kinders van studente wat nou met staatshulp studeer, waarskynlik in die onbenydenswaardige posisie van die sogenaamde verlore middel sal wees.<\/p>\n

"Die VF Plus beskou die toewyding en harde werk van duisende amptenare in die departement van hoër onderwys en opleiding as lofwaardig, maar vrees dat die goeie gevolge daarvan op die lange duur deur die sosialistiese grondslag waarop gebou word, ongedaan gemaak sal word," sê Boshoff.<\/p>\n
